Fireworks & Flowers

I decided to do Fourth of July a little bit differently this year. We did the typical picnic and firework display at the highschool, but this year I changed it up a bit and set my camera on my stomach with a slow shutter speed of about 15 seconds, and let the magic commence. Turns out fireworks are more like flowers than I thought.

Sunset Fields

Chasing the setting sun while driving back from Yosemite with my boyfriend, I whipped out my camera and held it precariously out the window. Despite dangling a mere three feet from peril, my glorious Nikon once again did not fail me.

Pretty in Pink


Nothing puts a smile on my face more than a bouquet of peonies. They are so cheery, beautiful, and their colors are simply stunning.

This was one brave butterfly. I wan't sure that I would be able to snap a picture before it flew away, but luckily this one seemed to be undaunted by my dirty hands or surprised expression.

Into the Abyss
